Specimen Handling/Stability | Complete clot formation should take place before centrifugation. Serum or plasma should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection. Specimens should be free of particulate matter. |
Specimen Storage Stability | Specimen stable for up to 6 weeks at 2-8°C and 6 months at -20°C. Samples are maintained and saved in the laboratory for 7 days at 4°C. |
