Cause for Rejection Specimens that are contaminated with urine, containing barium, or submitted in a diaper, tissue, or tounge depressor will be rejected.
Specimen Storage Stability Specimens that are not preserved are stable for less than 1 hour at room temperature and up to 24 hours at 2-5°C. Specimens that are preserved are stable for up to 48 hours at 2-5°C.
